The funny thing is that I don't like butterfies, but I know other people do. My friend Veronica Meras kept poking fun at me for this sketch. Anyways, I decided to do a little something for a friend of mine and send her this card. The butterfly is from MS Elegant Cake cartridge. The frame is from Elegant Edges cart. The paper is from Colorbok from the Flea Market. That's my favorite paper out of this pack. This is an awesome paper pack, too bad I only bought two. . . .I LOVE SKETCHES BY TSUNAMIROSE Design Team Member- Tricia Colon of Tricia's Place Please visit her blog! But I love this stack! The parentheses are from Base Camp, the fancy edged square is from Elegant Edges. The "Mr&Mrs" is from Sweethearts.

Day 2 now of I LOVE SKETCHES BY TSUNAMI ROSE and we kick it off with Sketch #1! I love this simple design that is GREAT at using up scraps! I use this technique of slicing the same image and setting it just slightly apart to create a background. Turns 1 12x12 page into like 10 cards!!

I'm going to keep up with this blog if it kills me!

Starting with the first project of the year (to be posted on this blog) a card that I made for a coworker of my husband who gave me some left over supplies of hers. Gorgeous laces, different beads, buttons- all kinds of good stuff! My husband mentioned I should personalize it, so I whipped out my typewriter (smith corona circa 1970 something) and did so! I loved the way it looked on the message on the inside of the card, so vintage-y! I didn't take a picture of that tho.

Photobucket

This also counts as my entry into Sherry's Gone Buggy- Jan Sketch Challenge. I've never entered a sketch challenge, so I am totally excited!

The two scalloped circles are from Elegant Edges, the birdy thing is from Cindy Loo cricut cartridges.

UPDATE: I WON MY FIRST SKETCH CHALLENGE!!! WOOOHOOO Thanks Sherry for the opportunity to enter!
