My Card

For my card I used COREdanations cardstock, Fabric Washie Tape,

Mulberry Roses, flatback pearls, tulle, a beautiful rose cameo my

mother-in-law shared with me, the sentiment are individual letters

I stamped on and distressed with Tim Holtz' VINTAGE PHOTO distressing ink.

I made my card a digi card. I again went for  grungy look. I'm starting to love making my edges grungy on my digi papers. The program I use is Photoshop Cs4 to create all of my designs. There are some free programs you can use, I suggest researching, GIMP. I've never used it but there some tutorials on Youtube that can help you!

My Card

Bwahahahahaha.... getting into the Halloween spirit and

with it only two days away I have created a Halloween card.

I have used Cordinations and The Paper Company cardstocks,

I stamped the sentiment, embellished with a flatback and buckle...

and distressed with the Tim Holtz distressing ink vintage photo!

I used the butterflies of the freebie design for this card along with Coredinations cardstock, Tim Holtz' distressing ink VINTAGE PHOTO, my sentiment is making memories from the vintage metal combo copper family, a single 10mm flatback pearl, some ribbon and fibers!!!

I really loved this sketch, so of course it was my choice for today.
The crown roses paper and the floral motif paper are also some of my favourite papers, so of course they were the ones for this card.

I have used turqoise, light-blue and black cardstock here, and as embellishments I   added some blue/turqoise rhinestones and also some Diamond Stickles on the separate rose.

To create the sentiment I used black stickers from BasicGrey (bas-3988)
The edges of the papers I have inked with a black Fluid Chalk. (charcoal)

That paper you will get when you get your own set of Halloween papers in the 2012 Halloween Printable Kit.

There is lots of gorgeous papers in that set, plus some adorable sentiment stamps too, so why don't you run over there and get your copy right away. :)

Orange is my favourite color, so I have used 2 different cardstocks here, plus a black piece for the middle part.
The black part I have cut into with a Martha Stewart punch.

The edges of the papers I have inked with a black Fluid Chalk. (charcoal)
I got the hearts from a punch out pack.

As embellishments I have used black, selfadhesive stickers that I have put some Stickles on (Diamond) and I have also put some orange Pearl Maker around the bow.

ILS by Tsunami Rose! Day 242

This was a fun card to make. I used my Art Philosphy cart and my Cricut to cut out the heart. I stamped the heart with a Glitz Design brand newspaper stamp and then used my new Prima stamp set to stamp the clock. The sentiment is from Micheals.

I inked the edges of the paper using CTMH ink in Ponderosa Pine. The heat is stamped using Hollyhock ink also from CTMH.

I used two half pearls to embellish this card. Thank you for taking a moment to check out my card.

Definetly the classiest color combo every, black and white! It's been a while since I've made as dark as this. But I love it. I also haven't used a doily in while either. :P

I used CTMH in Black to ink the edges. I wanted to get a super dark edge so I dragged the edge of the distressed paper across the ink pad itself.

I embellished the card with a black half pearl, and black half pearls on a string as well as a mulberry rose. The sentiment is from CTMH and says "Celebrate"

ILS by Tsunami Rose! Day 243

Okay, so this is the card I made today with today's sketch.

For this card, I just couldn't wait to use my newest 8.5x11 full page printable scrapbook paper!! I printed it out pretty much right after I got designing it. I just adore the bright colors. My printer printed it out more of a dark blue but it really should have been a lot lighter. Printers do that though. :P

Anyways, I paired this paper up with one of my little 3x3 inch designs with a little fairy on it. I think being more dark of a picture would help it contrast against its busy backing paper.

I inked the edges of the papers in CTMH Dutch Blue. The sentiment says "Thinking of You - Friendship - 365 Days 24•7" and it is from Stampin' Up and is inked in CTMH in Hollyhock. 

Oh yeah. . . .I also redid my friend's challenge blog with the "Letter Game Roses- Two" design. I have grown quite fondly of finding other ways to incorporate my signature designs.

I will be sponsoring her challenges, the first one being on October 15! The prize will be the Tsunami Rose 2012 Halloween Printable Kit, which includes 12 printable full page scrapbook papers, 1 full page of ephemera and 2 pages of holiday digital stamps!

For this card I used my ink in Chocolate from CTMH, after I distressed the edges of the paper. I made sure to ink them really dark.

I used a flower and put a half pearl as its center. The sentiment is from Pebbles and it says "Miss You" I inked the sentiment in Olive by CTMH. I also used to half pearls as embellishments.

Guest Blogger Loves Sketches by Tsunami Rose! Day 237 [MiMi Dibble]

I love Sketches by Tsunami Rose Day 237 Sketch #25

I am back again today as a guest designer and blogger for Daisy.  My name is MiMi Dibble  and you can find my blog at THEscrapinator5000.  I am super excited to be here today because I have a project for you that I dread doing on my own.

I made a card!  Yes, I know that doesn't sound like any great feat to you but if you know me at all, you know I don't make cards, I don't like to make cards, I stink at making cards...seriously, I am not good at it.  I am a scrapbooker so you'd think this should be no problem right?  Wrong!  If you saw some of the cards I have made, you'd be like...OY VEY!  This woman needs help.

Well, that's where Daisy comes in.  She's got sketches and digital papers...how much easier can it get.  The only way this would have been any easier for me, would have been for her to come over and make it herself.

Today I used sketch # 25 from the I Love Sketches by Tsunami Rose September 2012. I also used   one of the new 8.5x11 Vintage Digital Printable Scrapbook Paper- "Banner Planks" - orange.

I used the Banner Planks paper as the background for the front of the card.  Remember, you can print this paper out as many times as you want.  Bonus! I added some metalic peach card stock and a couple stips of lace that I layered and sewed together.  The flower is painted book pages. I used 2 different colors of orange and a silver to paint the book pages.  The layers were cut our using the Tim Holz die Tattered Florals.  I finished the flower off with a ceramic peach rose right in the center.  The banner I strung is an old shirt I stamped on and then ran through the sewing machine to bunch it up a bit.  My sentiment is heat embossed and layer with foam tape onto the same metallic peach card stock under the flower.

I made this card in 30 minutes and that included 2 phone calls, a cup of coffe, and figuring out how to thread my sewing machine Again. I don't know if that is a long time or not to a card maker but for me, that is really quick!!! I once spent a week making my mom's mother's day card. No, I am not kidding! 

Daisy's sketch made it super simple and easy to put this card together (Click here to get your copy of September 2012 I Love Sketches by Tsunami Rose). I just love the Banner Planks paper.  There are other colors including pink, purple, green, blue and black. There is even a combo pack where you get all six  colors and the Wood Planks paper which coordinates perfectly.
