Marleen Gallagher ~ Halloween Greeting Card with Witches Brew Papers



For my last project for Tsunami Rose for this month, I wanted to make a card. Having already made a coffin as well as a scrappage, I still had plenty left in the kit to play with.

I layered up one of the pages from the kit witha cut-out from another page. Then added the faux stiches. The doily was a normal white one, that I simply swiped with my black inkpad. I layered that with one of the embelishments from the kit, added the greeting and finised with a few gems. Voila.. A quick yet fab card.

Halloween Card using Witches Brew Printable Journal ~ Trudy Harris Thomas



I am having such a creative time with this Witches Brew Journal Kit from Tsunami Rose Designs!!!
It's so easy to cut out the pieces, add a few embellishments and bling and have an awesome project!

If you care to follow along, I will show you the process I used to create this card.




I distressed a 5 1/4" x 4" mustard orange piece of cardstock and attached it to my 5 1/2" x 4 1/2" Black card base. Stamped it with an Inkadinkadoo Dot Flourises stamp and heat embossed with Ebony Zing Embossing Powder and added Onyx Pearl Liquid Pearls in random places on the embossing.



I cut out an image and sentiment from the journal pack, mounted both of them on black card stock and added some black bling dots, and fringe to the back of the image.

The image and the sentiment were attached to the card base with foam tape.



I added some "rat tail" black and gold ribbon to the card, scrap pieces of black ribbon, some silk flower heads (Dollar Tree) and a home made stick pin to finish off the look.

Halloween Easel Card using Witches Brew Printable Journal ~ Kimberly Pate




Today is my day to post on the Tsunami Rose Designs blog.  We are tasked with creating our project using the new Witches Brew Printable Journal.  This is a great journal, and there are so many things that you can do with this journal. the opportunities are wide open to only your imagination.

Today I made an easel card.  This is just the second card I have made, so I am sure there is much more I can do with this card, I will keep working on my easel cards, but at least this is a start, right?



I used one page of the Witches Brew Journal on the face of my card.  However, I don't like to waste paper, so I used the excess on the bottom on my card as well.  I layered the journal paper on black first, then onto cream.  I used a black card base, so I felt this cream color was a good choice to best highlight the vibrant colors off the Halloween paper.

I really struggled with putting together this card and had to have a little extra help from a couple of friends.   I was not sure what elements to add to enhance the beauty of this paper. 

I opted for a strip of burlap topped with a beautiful lollipop black flower accented with a pearl.  the flower has some fringe ribbon in the middle. (I am sorry, but this does not show up well in the picture)

To complete the bottom part of the card, I used the remainder of journal paper from the card front so they would match.  I also used a portion of a tag from the journal paper that I trimmed down and layered.




It is plain and simple, but, if you know me, you know that is how I roll.  I am a plain and simple type girl.

If you haven't checked out the GORGEOUS printables created by Owner and Designer Daisy Collins... you're missing out! She has some AWESOME STUFF!!!


  Now... onto my project!!!..


 I have used one of the pages of the the NEW Mini Journal


 "Witches Brew" to create this COOL Halloween card... and several of the embellishment pieces that come with journal too! Using black and orange cardstock and some way cool Creepy Cloth from the Dollar Tree... I added some mulberry flowers, a leaf, ste, a flatback pearl and buckle. I also took a journaling tag from the journal kit using it on the inside of the card...

 I love the look vintage look of the "Witches Brew" Mini Journal... stop by the shop to orders yours and get your OoKy SpOoKy Craft on!!!

Halloween is my favorite time of year. I love skulls, witches, black cats and more. I even turned my living room into a dead room. I took a nice wooden box and used the new Tsunami Rose Halloween papers and mod podge to glue it to the box. Along with rhinestones, flowers and some other fun embellishments, I came up with a beautiful trinket box to hide my bones in.

As my first DT project as a Tsunami Rose Designer, I choose to create an easel card with the new Halloween themed "Witches Brew" printable journal kit.

I colored a stamp from bildmalarna and used I spiderweb die from memory box. Some sparkle on trick-or-treat and happy halloween! stickles around the stamp and the roses. Behind it all I put a lace and some cheesecloth.

 As my first time working with printable digital papers it was really fun and these papers were so cool. I loved how easily coordinated the journal pages are and that you could do both cool and cute things with them.

Yvonne Scrapbliss ~ Halloween Tag using "Witches Brew" Printable Journal

For my first official Design Team Project I decided to create a tag. I wanted to showcase the Witches Brew Printable Journal Kit’s versatility by going with a very nontraditional approach to Halloween. This year’s Tsunami Rose Halloween collection allows you to explore many different looks. This tag is a compilation of several techniques, including the use of molding paste, cheesecloth, and white paint. The kit’s ephemeron lends itself beautifully to the fussy cutting and the layering that gave the tag the depth I was hoping for.

I cut out the kit's pieces and picked the ones I wanted to work with.  I used this mask and molding paste for texture on my base page.



Using rubber cement I adhered the designer printable to the tag, sprayed the molding pasted with Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst in Frozen Jack Frost and set it with heat.


I sprayed and die-cut another sheet of paper, and started fussy cutting the graphics I'd selected. The edges where painted white and covered with Diamond Dust, then I added a layer of cheesecloth over the tag.




Last, I sprayed another page and used punches to make the flower. All that was left to do was to place them on the tag and hot glue them all down!
