DT Tanya is here with another one of her awesome Junk Journals... This little junk journal is created from the Sizzix's Passport Book Diecut that is by Eileen Hull. It is 3 1/2"x5" in size with five coffee dyed papers per signature with a total of three signatures. I used a variety of printables from the Tsunami Rose Designs shop with some freebie images from the blog too. I sized the printables down to 50-60% of actual size. I used an assortment of lace, trim, buttons, paper flowers, etc. to dress of my pages and once finished this little journal is one chunky little monkey!
Design Team member Janet Spero joins us with a lovely alum with so many uses... I have used the kit Charming Fragments Printable Journal. I have kept this journal/album free of too many embellishments as I feel the kit in itself is gorgeous. The different hues that combine this kit are subtle yet striking. I have matted a goldish paper with the kit. This compliments them both. As usual I have left plenty room for journalling or one could add stick pics and use as an album. Either way it is versatile for any use.
DT Laurie is here with us today with a beautiful piece she has created with her mother in mind... I made this book in memory of my mom, and I chose this kit to compliment her life. The soft peaches , pinks, yellows are just so peaceful.. This kit is fast becoming my favorite. By adding the gold painted pages, it picks up all the colors in Life Abloom Printable Journal. I also used a variety of Tsunami Rose Designs "Big Element flowers", Wow... I'm in love! They can make anything just pop, you can fussy cut them, glossy accent them or just leave them be, they are beautiful. Thank you so much Tsunami Rose Designs for such beautiful digital kits to work with and have fun.
This ATC is made into a Christmas Card, The Christmas Gift Printable Journalis so adaptable. I love how easy it matches with other pages. You don't need to spend a fortune on embellishments as the designs are so fun..
Design Team member Angela Hochstein Arnold joins us.... Vintage. Collage. Beauty. These are the main words I would have to use to describe the Charming Fragments Kit. I used this along with the add on kit and numerous other pieces of ephemera from various kits by Tsunami Rose Designs for this journal. It has a 4.5 inch spine and 6 signatures. The journal measures 5 and7/8 inches wide by 8 ½ inches wide. There are over 160 pages, includes 15 envelopes, large pockets and bags and has 3 mini books inside as well. This chunky journal is stuffed full of goodies, extra journaling spots and tons of ephemera. The cover was constructed with corrugated cardboard, covered and painted with acrylic paints and glazes. I used a number of other mixed media techniques to finish off the cover. The signatures were all stitched in by hand. Each page is an adventure waiting to happen. I named this my “Wish” journal, so I could stuff it full of all my hopes, dreams and wishes. This is a journal that will last many years to come and I can’t wait to see what treasures I find to fill it up with.
