Tsunami Rose Designs: DT Project: Angela Hochstein Arnold- Junk Journal using the Hummingbird Designs

For my June DT project, using the Hummingbirds designs, I created a fabric covered hard cover book full of sewing and textiles. I used a great deal of floral patterns and motifs to accentuate and compliment the designs. The book has 3 signatures, over 110 pages and is full of pockets and envelopes. I also added a few of Tsunami Rose Designs floral envelopes and matching journal cards as well as a few elements from the New Beginnings journal kit. There is plenty of space for journaling and tucking goodies into this journal. It measures 6 x 9 with a 2 inch spine. The journal has a very feminine feel to it with lace, fabric, silk flowers and fresh summer colors. I have also created three "glassine" bags (one for each signature) out of coffee dyed deli paper and decopauged floral napkins on to them. I kept the cover simple with a blue and brown bird patterned fabric, bronze metal book corners and a vintage brown seam binding closure.
