I would like to introduce my August Tsunami Rose Designs DT project, The Gardeners Companion. For this journal I used the Floral Paper Packs (sets 17-21) as well as the Ephemera Sets 19-22. I wanted to create a journal that looked like a nature lover had carried it around with them in their garden and on nature hikes. It has plants, leaves and flowers that have been clipped into it as if the owner of this journal added them throughout their journeys in nature. I have also created specimen cards of various "natural" elements, which you will see throughout the journal. There are 8 photographs that I took of flowers and plants from my own garden and added them through the journal as well. It is large chunky journal, measuring 9 1/4 by 6 1/4 with a 2 1/4 inch spine, 4 signatures, 200 pages and over 50 additional tags, journaling cards and journaling pages. The cover is made from a gutted hard cover book that I hand painted and distressed to make it look aged, worn and loved. There are book pages from various gardening books that have been added throughout the journal - giving the feel that a true nature/garden lover created this journal as a way to document their experiences with nature.
